College Admissions Workshop

Returning for 2024, our annual College Admissions Workshop series routinely propels attendees to a successful start to their admissions season. Now in its sixth year, the series offers comprehensive preparation for the admissions process. Students are introduced to the format and requirements of all major components of their application, often leaving the Workshop with finalized competitive, compelling personal statements.


Topics Covered:

  • all Workshop attendees will leave with, at minimum, a revised and copy-edited draft of their Common App personal statement

  • additionally, students who finalize their personal statement during the Workshop will receive guidance on additional admissions topics they most need help with:

    • resume preparation

    • essays on extracurriculars

    • hardship/obstacle statements

    • diversity essays

    • school interest statements

    • scholarship essays

2024 Fall Workshop Series:

  • Sat Oct 12 (Note: This is our last Workshop of 2024 and the final one before the Oct 15 Early Action deadline.)

All Workshops are offered in-person at The Hurt Hub@Davidson from 9am — 5pm on the date listed.

Note: When registering, please provide both your email and your student’s email to ensure we can be in touch with all parties ahead of your respective Workshop.

Cost:

  • $450 for each Fall Series Workshop (Aug + Sept + Oct dates)

    • $50 discount if purchasing two Workshop dates or two students

    • $100 discount if purchasing three Workshop dates or three students

    • Students who finish their personal statement will then move on to work on additional applications/admissions materials with the Workshop leader
